Washington: US President Donald Trump has announced a $1 million reward for information about alleged voter fraud in previous elections or the upcoming 2026 midterm elections, scheduled for November 3. The reward would be payable if the information leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, according to his post on Truth Social.
Trump did not clarify how the proposed reward would be funded, how people should submit information, or which authority would administer the payments.
The announcement comes just days before Americans vote to elect all 435 members of the House of Representatives and roughly one-third of the Senate. The results will determine the balance of power in Congress and could affect the administration’s legislative agenda.
Trump has repeatedly alleged widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to Joe Biden. Those claims were not supported by evidence of fraud sufficient to change the result. His latest announcement has again brought election integrity into the political debate ahead of the midterms.
The proposed reward has raised questions about its funding and implementation, with no detailed administrative framework announced alongside the pledge.
