Mumbai: Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 continues its impressive box-office run, attracting audiences even in its second week. Although the film witnessed a slowdown during the weekdays, the action drama made a strong comeback on its second Saturday, recording a significant rise in collections.

According to Sacnilk estimates, Jailer 2 earned approximately ₹24.15 crore in India net collections on Day 10, Saturday, October 24. This represented a 66.6 per cent increase compared with Friday’s collection of ₹14.50 crore.

Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹666 Crore

With its latest earnings, the film’s total India net collection reached approximately ₹373 crore, while its domestic gross collection stood at ₹436.80 crore.

The film also continued to perform well in overseas markets, earning an estimated ₹10 crore in gross collections on Day 10. Its cumulative overseas gross collection reached ₹229.50 crore, taking its worldwide gross total to approximately ₹666.30 crore.

The latest figures put the film within reach of the ₹700 crore worldwide milestone, although its eventual total will depend on its performance in the coming days.

Tamil Version Leads the Box Office

The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s domestic earnings on Day 10. It collected approximately ₹16.25 crore, followed by the Telugu version at ₹4.40 crore.

The Hindi version earned around ₹2.90 crore, while the Kannada version contributed approximately ₹60 lakh.

The strong contribution from the Tamil market underlines Rajinikanth’s continued popularity among his core audience, while collections across multiple language versions have helped the film expand its reach.

Star-Studded Cast Adds to the Buzz

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 features Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and Vidya Balan. The film also features prominent appearances by stars including Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar.

The sequel combines action, drama and star power, building on the popularity of the original Jailer. Its second-Saturday surge has provided fresh momentum after a weekday decline.

With the worldwide gross now standing at an estimated ₹666.30 crore, the coming days will be crucial in determining whether Jailer 2 can cross the ₹700 crore milestone and add another major commercial success to Rajinikanth’s filmography.
