New Delhi: Anant Ambani, son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, has drawn attention for his commitment to cow welfare and rescue operations. In a recent statement, Anant spoke about the scale of his cow-care initiative, the rescue of cows from slaughterhouses and the personal inspiration behind his efforts.
According to Anant, his initiative looks after approximately 9 lakh cows, including around 7 lakh cows that do not produce milk. He explained that the effort is not limited to caring for productive cattle but also extends to cows that are old, injured or unable to provide milk.
9 Lakh Cows Under Care, Says Anant Ambani
Speaking about the initiative, Anant Ambani said that he looks after around 9 lakh cows. He highlighted that approximately 7 lakh of them do not give milk, underlining his emphasis on their welfare regardless of their commercial value.
His remarks put the spotlight on the broader idea of cow care, which includes providing shelter, food and support to animals that may otherwise struggle to receive adequate care.
The statement also reflects his emphasis on compassion towards animals that are injured, abandoned or no longer able to produce milk.
100 Ambulances Support Cow Rescue Operations
Anant also spoke about the rescue network supporting the initiative. According to him, around 100 ambulances are involved in bringing cows from eight states.
He said dedicated teams work to rescue cows in areas where cattle slaughter is legally permitted, with the aim of saving animals through lawful means. Anant further stated that approximately 50,000 cows had been brought to safety through these efforts so far.
The reported figures highlight the scale of the operation, which combines rescue efforts with ongoing care for the animals. The exact number of ambulances, states covered and cows rescued should be independently verified.
‘We Take Inspiration From Prime Minister Narendra Modi’
Anant Ambani credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an important source of inspiration for his cow-protection work.
“ Our Prime Minister has done so much for the cows. We take inspiration from him,” Anant said, explaining the motivation behind the initiative.
He added that even making a small contribution to cow welfare gives him a sense of purpose. Expressing his devotion to the cause, he said, “What more can we do than to serve the cows?”
His remarks connected the initiative to his personal belief that caring for animals is a meaningful form of service.
Anant Ambani’s Personal Routine: Feeding and Massaging Cows
Beyond the larger rescue operation, Anant shared details of his daily routine at home. He said that before leaving the house, he spends time massaging and feeding the cows.
According to his account, there are six cows at his home, and he personally takes care of them. He also said that the cows are fed the same food that he eats.
The description offers a glimpse into the personal side of his relationship with animals, presenting cow care as a daily practice rather than only an organised welfare activity.
A Mission That Goes Beyond Milk Production
Anant Ambani’s statement highlights a central message of his cow-welfare philosophy: animals deserve care even when they no longer produce milk. His comments about the millions of non-milking cows under care, the reported rescue operations and his daily routine have brought renewed attention to the subject of animal welfare.
While the figures shared by Anant indicate the claimed scale of the initiative, independent confirmation of the numbers and operational details would provide a clearer picture of the programme.
For now, his remarks have put the spotlight on a mission centred on cow care, rescue and compassion—and on the personal values he says motivate his work.
