A suspected explosion rocked a railway track in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar district on Tuesday, shortly after the Anupgarh-Suratgarh train passed through the area.

According to preliminary information, the explosion damaged the railway track. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported as the train had already crossed the spot before the incident.

Soon after receiving information, railway officials and security agencies rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. Security has also been tightened in the surrounding area.

Police and security agencies are investigating the cause of the explosion and examining whether there was any possible conspiracy behind the incident.

Sri Ganganagar SP Harishankar said that he and his team had inspected the spot, while railway officials were also present at the location.

He added that the forensic team and bomb disposal squad were on their way. The exact nature and cause of the incident would be established only after their examination.

The SP cautioned against jumping to conclusions, saying it was too early to confirm whether it was an explosion or something else.

He also clarified that the incident had no connection with the RDX seized earlier.

Further investigation is underway, while railway authorities have strengthened security measures in the area.
